Welcome to The World of Spark!
Hey there! You probably found your way here because you love theme parks as I do, and you want to plan your next vacation better than your last. That’s where The World of Spark comes in. It’s a comprehensive guide to planning Disney World and Disneyland vacations, with some additional travel advice sprinkled in. Whether you want to plan your first Disney vacation or your fiftieth, there’s always a new tip or trick to add to your toolbox.
The World of Spark is owned and operated by me, Carly. I’ve been writing professionally in the travel and theme park space for several years, and I’m fortunate enough to have my work featured on sites like Tripadvisor, Fodor’s Travel, Insider, FamilyVacationist, and more! Helping readers become their own Disney experts has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled that you’re here today!
Walt Disney World includes four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In addition, there are two water parks, over two dozen hotels, and a shopping and dining district. Each destination has something unique to offer when it comes to rides, dining, entertainment, and overall vibe.Â
The O.G. Disney theme park, Disneyland Resort, still packs a punch nearly 70 years after it first opened its gates in 1955. The charm that existed then is still felt today! It’s much smaller than it’s younger, taller brother Disney World, comprised of just two theme parks, three hotels, and a Downtown Disney shopping and dining district. Make no mistake, great things come in small packages.
Hello there! I’m Carly, your host throughout your time here on The World of Spark. I'm a freelance travel writer by day, with my work published on Tripadvisor, Fodor's Travel, Business Insider, and more. I have been writing in the theme park space for over half a decade, reaching millions of readers worldwide.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved sharing my knowledge of the Disney theme parks. I've been typing away about Disney World and Disneyland since I was in grade school where I wrote my first 'unofficial' guide book. I hope this site provides value to you and your family, whether it’s catching up on the news that’s relevant to your next trip or picking up some tips and tricks for mastering Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond.
