Walt Disney World in June
School’s out for the summer season, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to go to Walt Disney World!
No, that’s just me?

Whether you have plans on visiting Disney World in June or you’re considering a vacation for a future year, you may be onto something. June can be very hot, but crowd-wise it’s not the worst time of year to visit the parks. Keep reading for your ultimate guide to Walt Disney World in June, from what to expect with the weather as well as current events to have on your vacation itinerary.
What’s Happening At Walt Disney World In June
Limited Time Treats for Pride Month and Father’s Day
June is Pride Month, and around Walt Disney World, you’ll find limited-time food and beverage items as well as merchandise that celebrates the LGBT community. Also in the month of June, we celebrate dads! Father’s Day is on June 15 this year, meaning you should be able to spot a few limited-time food and beverage items around the parks and resorts starting in early June.
Flower and Garden Festival Concludes at EPCOT
EPCOT’s springtime Flower and Garden Festival concludes on June 2. That will be followed up by a period where EPCOT does not have a seasonal festival — the park has returned to its “diet” festival schedule over the last couple of years, where the Food and Wine Fest doesn’t kick off until late August.

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids at EPCOT this June, head to CommuniCore Hall — or rather, GoofyCore — for DJ-led dance parties and playtime with appearances from Goofy himself.

GEO-82 Lounge Opens at EPCOT
The most anticipated opening for the month of June in 2025 is GEO-82, otherwise known as Spaceship Earth Lounge. The new bar and lounge space officially opens to guests on June 4. GEO-82 is an adult-only space, meaning you must be above the age of 21 in order to visit. The lounge offers specialty cocktails, wine, beer, and small bites.

GEO-82 reservations are filling up very quickly, so if you want to check it out this year, make sure you are ready to book as soon as that 60-day window opens.

Muppets Courtyard and Muppet*Vision 3D Final Day
We secretly hoped Disney World would pull a “gotcha!” moment in the days leading up to the closure of Muppets Courtyard, but unfortunately, the phrase “all good things come to an end” also applies here. As of June 8, Muppet*Vision 3D will be closed permanently to make way for Monstropolis, a new land inspired by the Pixar film Monsters Inc.

Fingers crossed Muppet*Vision 3D reappears elsewhere at Walt Disney World. I hear there’s a new Muppets-inspired version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster coming to Hollywood Studios that just so happens to have a theater right next door…what a coincidence…

Disney Springs Flavors of Florida Returns
Disney Springs will have its own food festival of sorts when the Flavors of Florida returns from June 27 through August 10. The event will feature 90 menu items from over 45 Disney Springs restaurants and dining locations. Flavors of Florida celebrates ingredients grown and harvested in Florida, so imagine all of the delightful citrus dishes! In addition to the menu items available for purchase, chefs will offer cooking demonstrations on select Fridays throughout the festival.

Walt Disney World In June Weather
The only piece of good news I have to offer when it comes to the weather at Walt Disney World in June is that it shouldn’t be quite as bad as it gets in July and August. According to Weather Spark, the average high in June is 90 degrees, and the average low is 74 degrees. But the real story is the humidity, which settles into Florida around this time and stays through September or so. Weather Spark reports that June has 27.6 days of “muggy” weather — so essentially the entire month. Combined with those high temperatures, you’ll definitely feel it.

On average, June sees approximately 17.7 days of precipitation, a sharp increase from May’s average of 9.5 days. If you’re traveling to Disney World this month or at any point in the summer season, make sure your rain gear is ready. Chances are you’ll run into a few downpours during your June visit.

Tips For Visiting Walt Disney World In June
Stay cool and comfortable
The biggest tip I have for a June visit to Disney World is to prioritize your comfort above all else. Take frequent indoor breaks, stay hydrated (pack those liquid IV packets!), reapply sunscreen regularly, and wear comfortable clothing. A summer vacation to Disney World can be a lot of fun, but you have to make sure you’re taking care of your health along the way. Those midday breaks where you go back to the hotel, take showers, change, etc. can make a huge difference.
Consider a Disney World After Hours event
With those high temperatures soaring this month, you might want to consider buying tickets to a Disney World After Hours event. Maximizing evening park hours when the sun is low or gone completely is one sure-fire way to be somewhat more comfortable at Disney World this summer. After Hours events are hard-ticketed, meaning you have to buy separate admission to attend. June’s events are as follows:
EPCOT After Hours
- June 19 (10:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
- June 26 (10:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios After Hours
- June 4 (9:30 PM – 12:30 AM)
- June 11 (9:30 PM – 12:30 AM)
- June 25 (9:30 PM – 12:30 AM)
H20 Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon
- June 6 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- June 13 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- June 20 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- June 27 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Don’t forget about your free water park admission
Disney World is offering a new promotion through 2025 that allows its on-property hotel guests to visit one Disney World water park — Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach — free of charge on their arrival and check in day. To be eligible for this offer, all you have to do is have your name appear on the hotel reservation! And, for the first time in several years, both water parks are open all summer long.
