Disney World’s New Nighttime Parade, Disney Starlight, to Debut This July

This summer is filled with new entertainment offerings at Walt Disney World. Two stage shows debuted this week at Hollywood Studios: Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. Both shows offer families a respite from the Florida heat with lively songs and colorful artistry that bring beloved Disney characters to life. Now, fans’ sights are set on the next big debut coming to Disney World.

Annual Pass Park Reservations Required This Summer For Disney Starlight

Disney World also announced this week some updated guidelines for Annual Pass Park Reservations this summer. Due to expected high demand for viewing of Disney Starlight, starting July 20, for a limited time, Annual Passholders must make an advance park reservation when visiting Magic Kingdom at any time of the day.

Currently, and up until July 20, the rule for Annual Pass visits states that AP holders may visit any of the four theme parks without a reservation on either a good-to-go day (days when reservations are not required) or any other day after 2:00 PM (except for Saturdays at Sundays and Magic Kingdom, when a reservation is required regardless of the time you wish to visit).

The change is that, after July 20, if you are an Annual Passholder and you want to visit Magic Kingdom on any day at any time, you must make a park reservation in advance. Annual Passholders will still be able to enter the other three theme parks after 2:00 PM without a park reservation. This does not affect current Park Hopping regulations. Annual Passholders may visit EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom first and then hop to Magic Kingdom without needing a Magic Kingdom reservation, subject to park capacity.
