Disney World Announces Opening Date For Re-Imagined Test Track

This is going to be a busy summer at Walt Disney World. The first new nighttime parade in decades, Disney Starlight, officially makes its debut at Magic Kingdom on July 20. But that’s not the only big event fans are excited about — we need to talk about even more opening dates.

Over at EPCOT, the summer is marked with new openings and re-imaginings. Right on the heels of the new adult-exclusive lounge, GEO-82, a fan-favorite thrill ride is preparing to come back online.

Test Track Opening Date Revealed

That thrill ride is, of course, Test Track, which closed last summer to transform into its third iteration. We finally have some major updates to share regarding the opening timeline of “Test Track 3.0.”

Disney World announced that the new version of Test Track will officially open on July 22!

In the announcement, Disney shared that there will be opportunities for cast members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents and Club 33 Members to preview the attraction before the official July 22 opening date.

According to Disney, the new version of Test Track celebrates the joy of driving. In a Disney Parks Blog post, it was revealed that the ride will contain new show scenes “showcasing technological advances and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone.” The ride’s queue also received a makeover, with six new exhibits celebrating the vehicles — and the people behind them — “that push the envelope and help get people to our next chapter in our motion journey.”
