It’s time to Celebrate Happy! This week’s leading Disney theme park news story is all about the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration, taking place now through the summer of 2026. Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration Begins
The big story, of course, is the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration, which officially began on May 16. Following a media preview this week, the celebration has launched with an array of entertainment, including the return of Paint the Night and the debut of a new version of World of Color.

Limited-time food and beverage items along with several merchandise collections are now available to grab in the parks as well.

There’s even more festivities to come as we inch closer to Disneyland’s actual 70th anniversary, July 17. That is when Walt Disney — A Magical Life debuts at Main Street Opera House and we’ll finally get to see the first-ever Audio-Animatronic of Walt himself.

The 70th Anniversary Celebration runs through the summer of 2026, so there’s plenty of time to check everything out!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Announced
Looking ahead to the fall season, details are finally being filled in regarding this year’s return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The annual fan-favorite after-hours event will once again take place on select evenings at Magic Kingdom. It starts on August 15 and runs through October 31.

Tickets went on sale on May 15 for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and tickets will go on sale to the general public next week on May 22.

EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Dates Announced
We also learned new details surrounding this year’s EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! The flagship foodie event will return to EPCOT from August 28 through November 22.

The Food and Wine Festival features some of the most highly anticipated events of the year at EPCOT, including the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. A full concert lineup will be announced at a later date. Guests can also look forward to the return of Emile’s Fromage Montage and Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt.
