Greetings! Who’s ready for another Disney theme park news roundup? Spring is in the air and this week is filled with exciting updates that will carry through the summer and beyond!
There are some important stories you’ll want to catch up on from this week. This is especially true if you’re in the middle of planning a Disney World vacation for this summer and have yet to purchase your theme park tickets — there’s a discount you may want to read up on!
New Disney World Ticket Discounts Announced
It may have just gotten a little cheaper to visit Walt Disney World this summer! A new ticket discount was announced on theme park admission for all guests, as well as a new discount for Florida Residents.
Guests can purchase a 4-day, 4-park ticket for just $396 (that’s $99 per day), valid April 2 through September 22. This ticket would get you one (1) day at each of the theme parks, with no park reservations required. There is also a 3-day, 3-park ticket available for just $267 ($89 per day), valid from April 2 through September 24. This 3-day ticket would grant you admission to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
For Florida Residents, the Florida Resident Discovery Ticket is currently available for $235 and $219 for 4-day and 3-day options, respectively. This ticket is valid from April 2 through September 28, and theme park reservations are required. A Park Hopper add-on is also available for $40 per ticket.

“DisneylandForward” Initiative Approved By Anaheim City Planning Commission
If you’ve been paying attention to the city of Anaheim, California, then you probably are aware of a project that has been in the works for the past few years called “DisneylandForward.” In short, DisneylandForward aims to rewrite an agreement set between Disneyland Resort and the city of Anaheim decades ago.
The current agreement dictates strict zoning requirements that Disneyland has to follow whenever it builds new entities. For example, a section of land that is zoned to be a hotel can only be developed into a hotel. Disneyland can’t use land zoned as parking space to build a new ride. DisneylandForward aims to amend that agreement.
DisneylandForward is not an announced expansion project, at least not at present. Rather, it opens the door for Disneyland to be far more flexible in its development in the coming decades. It could certainly lead to new attractions and theme park expansions down the road, but step one is to get the city to approve the zoning initiative.
TL;DR, DisneylandForward probably won’t produce anything “exciting” for many, many years, even if it does get approved.
A very important, albeit initial, hurdle has been cleared this week, with the Anaheim City Planning Commission approving the project to move forward. The next step is to bring DisneylandForward to the Anaheim City Council. That meeting and subsequent vote are expected to take place later this spring.

Pixar Fest Details Unveiled
The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival may have just started, but we already have our sights set on the next limited-time offering coming this spring and summer: Pixar Fest! If you remember, back in 2018, Pixar Fest was a summer event offering specialty food, merchandise, and entertainment. The festival is back for 2024, taking place from April 26 through August 4. Disney unveiled new details about Pixar Fest this week, including new pieces of concept art for its Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration daytime parade! The parade will feature floats that highlight beloved Pixar films, including Soul…
…and Luca!
We also know that Turning Red will be featured in the parade as well.
We got a first look at some of the food and novelty items available for purchase during Pixar Fest, including this adorable Pizza Planet Truck popcorn bucket!
I can already tell the lines for this popcorn bucket will be wrapped around the park. I can’t wait to see this festival kick off next month!

More Easter Offerings Arrive
Easter is just around the corner (it’s on March 31 this year!), and the Disney theme parks are coming alive with seasonal treats and decorations. Easter is a super fun time to be in the parks if you’re obsessed with all things spring. I had mentioned in my last update that the beautiful Easter egg displays were back at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Now, we know a little bit more about the limited-time food coming to the parks with a Foodie Guide Disney released this week.
Disneyland Resort’s Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt also began this week. The Easter eggs are hidden throughout the parks and Downtown Disney, and if you spot them all, you’ll win a prize! The eggs will be on display through April 9, with prizes available while supplies last.
