Hi there! Welcome back for another weekly roundup of news from the Disney theme parks and Disney Cruise Line. Admittedly, this is a quieter week than normal, but there are still some exciting stories in the lineup.

This week, we saw a new attraction open in Walt Disney World, as well as a big anniversary for Disneyland Resort! We also heard of a significant milestone in the construction of Disney’s next cruise ship. This week’s roundup is a quicker one than recent weeks, so let’s get this recap off and running!

Country Bear Musical Jamboree Opens at Magic Kingdom

There’s a new show in town at Magic Kingdom! Country Bear Musical Jamboree officially opened at Walt Disney World on July 17. The new version of the show replaces Country Bear Jamboree, which closed in January.

Staterooms Installed on Disney Treasure

We’re getting closer and closer to the completion of Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Treasure! The new ship will embark on its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. The ship is still under construction at Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, but a major milestone was reached this week!

Disney Cruise Line announced that all 1,256 staterooms have been installed on the ship and shared photos of a stateroom and a hallway under construction. More details of the ship have emerged in the months leading up to its maiden voyage, and hopefully, we will hear even more updates at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August.

Walt Disney Company Shares Date of Fiscal Third Quarter Earnings Report

Finally, a quick update regarding the Walt Disney Company’s next earnings call. It was announced this week that Disney’s Fiscal Third Quarter Earnings Report will be released on Wednesday, August 7. An earnings call hosted by CEO Bob Iger will take place that morning at 8:30 AM EST, before the opening market bell.

Disneyland Resort

This earnings call will give Disney the opportunity to share any major announcements about the future of the business sectors, including theme parks. However, with D23: The Ultimate Fan Event starting just two days after the call, I wouldn’t be surprised if this earnings call was focused more on Third Quarter fiscal figures and less on sharing any major announcements.
