Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival: An Ultimate Guide

Disneyland Resort hosts some of the best food festivals I can think of. Sorry, EPCOT, but I truly think Disney California Adventure takes the top prize for the best ones! Late winter and early spring at Disneyland means it’s time once again for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival.

The flagship festival at California Adventure is filled with limited-time food and beverage items, many of which are new each and every year. If you’re planning on visiting Disneyland from late February through late April, keep reading and find out more about what is my personal favorite Disney theme park food festival.

Click below to help navigate your way through this ultimate Food and Wine Festival guide:

What happens during the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival?

The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is an annual festival spanning roughly eight weeks. Typically lasting from late February through late April, limited-time food and beverage items are available for purchase at booths that pop up around the park.

You can find a variety of menu items (which we’ll cover in a minute) that cater to all kinds of palates. And with a wide variety of craft beer and wine selections, this is absolutely an adult-friendly festival. In addition to food and drinks, you can find live entertainment, cooking and beverage demonstrations, shopping, and more. Disney California Adventure takes on a whole different vibe during the Food and Wine Festival!

Guests can also catch some fun overlays during Food and Wine Festival, like the limited-time return of Soarin’ Over California!

While the food requires a separate purchase, being in and among the festival is included with your park admission. So it’s not like the festival takes place in some off-limits area that requires its own ticket, if that makes sense. Just like the EPCOT festivals, the DCA Food and Wine Festival is available to all guests.

When does the next Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival take place?

In 2025, the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival runs from February 28 through April 21. The festival takes place daily, so no matter when you visit during that time frame, the park will be in full festival mode!

The festival booths (we’ll go over this year’s menus in a sec) are also open daily, though their hours may vary slightly from the park. Below, we’ll go over all of the latest food and beverage menus so you can plan your visit! If you’re reading this article outside of the festival dates, the menus will give you an idea of what you can expect at next year’s festival.

Keep an eye on this space as well as Disneyland’s website as we learn more about this year’s offerings.

Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival Tips and Tricks

  • Buy the Sip and Savor Pass. This pass turns out to be a solid money-saving venture if you use it strategically. Redeem your pass for eight of the more pricey food items, and you’ll come out ahead financially. The pass lasts for the duration of the festival, so if you visit on multiple days, you can use the same pass until all eight credentials have been redeemed.
  • Don’t forget about dining locations outside the parks! As we covered above with the festival menus, dining locations outside of Disney California Adventure also participate in the Food and Wine Festival. Downtown Disney is a great spot to grab a bite to eat, and several of its restaurants have limited-time menu specials just for the festival.
  • Check out a beverage seminar. These are great low-cost ways to add something special to your festival day. If you’re visiting the festival on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, you’ll likely find a beverage seminar you can pop into and attend. They only last 30 minutes, so they won’t take up a lot of time, either!
  • Ride Soarin’ Over California. Each year for the Food and Wine Festival, Soarin’ Around the World reverts back to its original version, Soarin’ Over California. Personally, I think the O.G. version is far superior, so I make it a point to ride it every time I visit Disney California Adventure during this festival.
