Disneyland Announces New and Returning Halloween Offerings For 2026
It’s time to break out the Halloween costumes and sip on some Pumpkin Spice Latte because we have some major Disneyland Halloween news to discuss! Sure, we’ve barely begun Disneyland’s summer season, but now is the time to start planning for your fall vacation.

Fall, and specifically Halloween at Disneyland, is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the parks. There’s something about seeing that smiley Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A. that gets me in the spirit, even if it’s still 90 degrees outside. We have a lot to cover when it comes to this year’s Halloween lineup, so let’s jump in and see what’s returning and what’s brand new for 2026.
New Haunted Mansion Street Party to Replace Parade at Oogie Boogie Bash
Fans looking for something new this Halloween needn’t look further than Oogie Boogie Bash, the popular after hours event returning for a whopping 33 evenings this fall. With events on select nights August 18 through October 31, guests can access Disney California Adventure after park hours and enjoy trick-or-treat trails, entertainment, party-exclusive food offerings, and shorter wait times for rides.

Returning offerings with admission to Oogie Boogie Bash include Villain’s Grove, still one the best immersive walking trails I’ve ever experienced. Villains not often seen in the Disney Parks will also make appearances on treat trails as you collect Halloween candy around the park.
Starting in 2026, an entirely new entertainment offering will be included with Oogie Boogie Bash admission, replacing Frightfully Fun Parade. Details on the new street party, called “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party,” is a bit nebulous at the moment. According to Disney, it will feature “multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, inviting you to partake in a ghastly good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.”

So, it sounds like an awfully spirited time if you’re a fan of The Haunted Mansion.
Don’t worry, the Headless Horseman will still make his iconic trip on horseback through Disney California Adventure. Since there is no formal parade for Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman to march ahead of this year, they will instead “hurry” through the park “at select times throughout the evening.”

Like Frightfully Fun Parade, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party will be available for guests to purchase that includes a special viewing area for the new Haunted Mansion Street Party. This year’s dessert party will also feature a new selection of treats themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Dessert party reservations will open later this summer.

Halloween Lineup Returning to Disneyland Park in 2026
Halloween Time at Disneyland Park returns from August 21 through October 31. During that time, guests can enjoy limited-time food and beverage items and specialty merchandise exclusive to the Halloween season.

At night, projections can be seen on Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world,” and Rivers of America during the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular each evening with fireworks that can be seen around the park.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween at Disneyland with out Haunted Mansion Holiday. The seasonal ride overlay will return once again this season through the holidays.

Halloween Lineup Returning to Disney California Adventure in 2026
In addition to Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney California Adventure is home to family-fun Halloween offerings August 21 through October 31. This includes festive decorations seen around Cars Land, which transforms into Radiator Screams. This includes ride overlays Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and the chance to meet and greet Lightning McQueen in his Halloween costume.

Starting in the late afternoon each day, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will once again transform into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. For the littles, be sure to check out “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land, beginning August 18.

Disney California Adventure will also be home to Plaza de la Familia, which pays homage to Día de los Muertos with nods to Pixar’s Coco. The festivities are around starting August 21 through November 2, 2026. Enjoy live mariachi music, live storytellers, and specialty food and beverage items.

Like Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure will be filled with Halloween-themed menu items and merchandise to add to your collection.

Halloween Lineup Coming to Downtown Disney and the Hotels at Disneyland Resort
There’s plenty to enjoy outside of the theme parks this Halloween as well. Downtown Disney is once again home to Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, an interactive scavenger hunt that kids will love to take part in. Be sure to take in the sights and sounds of the season with autumnal adornments, themed eats, and shopping.

The hotels at Disneyland Resort are great places to find festive decorations. You can find all-new decor inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. at Pixar Place Hotel and Haunted Mansion-inspired touches at Disneyland Hotel. Be sure to grab a dining reservation for Storytellers Cafe over at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, which will host Mickey’s Autumn Adventures for breakfast and brunch and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner in the evenings.

As I mentioned before, Halloween is truly one of my favorite times of the year at Disneyland. It’s still pretty toasty outside, but the decorations, ride overlays, and specialty food and beverage items are among the best that Disneyland Resort has to offer each year. Be sure to follow along for more of the latest Disney them park news!
