Disney Theme Park News For the Week of March 3, 2025

March is finally underway (my birthday month!) and we’re back with another roundup of Disney theme park news. This week was marked by the start of a springtime festival at Walt Disney World, which in my mind means the unofficial end of winter. We may still be a couple of weeks away from the actual start of spring, but I’m personally ready to put my winter jacket away.

We also learned a lot of exciting details from Disneyland Resort this week as it gears up for a busy 2025. The spring and summer calendars are looking pretty busy at the parks, and I wouldn’t want it any other way! Let’s catch up now on the latest Disney theme park news with stories from both coasts.

EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Begins at Disney World

The big happening this week at Walt Disney World was the start of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. It officially began on March 5 and will continue daily through June 2.

The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival features Outdoor Kitchens with dozens of new menu items to try along with returning favorites. The festival is perhaps known best among Disney fans for the colorful floral displays and topiaries that decorate EPCOT, bringing a true spring vibe to the park.

If you’re visiting Disney World between now and June 2, I highly recommend you spend some time enjoying the Flower and Garden Festival. And be sure to catch the Garden Rocks Concert Series if there’s a show the evening of your visit!

In honor of the park’s 70th anniversary, Disneyland is adding a new verse from the iconic namesake song into the attraction. The verse was penned by songwriter Richard Sherman before his passing.
