February may be a short month, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything new or exciting happening at Walt Disney World! In fact, this month is particularly exciting for me, as I will be heading to the parks to catch up on all of my favorite rides, restaurants, and everything in between! Yes, I’m heading down around President’s Day and the Half Marathon Weekend, so I’m fully expecting to see plenty of crowds that had the same idea as me, but I am so excited nonetheless.
If you too are heading to Disney World in the month of February, there is a lot to look forward to. There are several different holidays and festivals bringing limited-time food and beverage items to the parks and resorts. Plus, the weather should be pretty pleasant. Winter into early spring is probably my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World as the temperatures are more comfortable — just a little pro tip if you are wondering when to visit the parks next.
Valentine’s Day Treats
Celebrate love this February with specialty treats at Disney World! If you’re going to be in the parks this month, especially in the first couple of weeks, you’ll have tons of Valentine’s Day-themed goodies to choose from for a limited time at restaurants and shops all across property.
Most of the Valentine’s Day treats are available from February 1 through 14, but some will last throughout the entire month. If you have a sweet tooth or love all things chocolate, you’ll definitely want to check out this year’s selection.

Celebrate Soulfully
Another limited-time offering from Disney in February is Celebrate Soulfully. The month-long celebration runs in conjunction with Black History Month and features exclusive food and beverage items you won’t find at any other time of the year! Ahead of Celebrate Soulfully, Disney released a Foodie Guide outlining all of the specialty treats you can find at the parks and resorts.
Everyone has their eyes on Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom, as they will be serving Tiana’s Beignets! That’s right, beignets are finally finding their way into Magic Kingdom. Is this a preview of what’s to come when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens later this year? We’ll have to wait and see!

EPCOT Begins Its Disney After Hours Events
In January, Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios began their first slate of Disney After Hours events, running on select evenings this winter and spring. Now, EPCOT will join the lineup of parks offering the After Hours events starting on February 2. EPCOT’s initial lineup of After Hours events will take place on select nights through April 4.
All three of these parks will pick up again with more After Hours offerings later in the spring and summer months. During Disney After Hours events, guests have access to a select park after its normal operating hours. The benefits of attending this hard-ticketed event (separate admission is required) include shorter lines for popular rides, unique character meet and greets, and more.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Attention runners! Another runDisney event is on its way in the month of February, not too long after the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend that took place at the top of the year. The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will take place from February 22 through 25, comprising of a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.
If you are not participating in the events, just be aware that the roads in and around Walt Disney World may be impacted by the runners. The 5K and 10K should wrap up early enough that you might not even notice, but there may be some delays the morning of the Half Marathon. Plan accordingly!

EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival
February features two unique festivals happening in EPCOT. The Festival of the Arts will wrap up on February 19, but before you know it, the park will be in full-on festival mode again! The International Flower and Garden Festival begins this year on February 28 and runs through May 27.
The Flower and Garden Festival is noticeably shorter this year than in recent years. Prior to 2020, a three-month-long festival was the norm, but in the past few years, the festival has stretched into early July. With the Flower and Garden Festival back to its 90-day run in 2024, we’ll have to see how Disney chooses to fill that time between Memorial Day and Independence Day. There may be an earlier start to the Food and Wine Festival, there may not be any festival at all, or there may be something new – only time will tell!
